Frankoma Pottery Trivet Sequoyah Cherokee Alpabet

Very nice example of Frankoma Pottery, made with Oklahoma red clay. It has raised Sequoyah Cherokee alphabet on the top, and has some of the history of this alphabet which was created by the Cherokee Sequoyah on the footed bottom. It is marked Frankoma 7TR. It measures 6 inches in diameter. It has a very small 1/8 inch shallow nik in the rim. It is not noticeable as the piece is in its natural clay color and unglazed.
