Vintage Frankoma Figurine #101 Indian Maiden by Willard Stone Artist

This is an excellent condition vintage art piece by two Oklahoma treasures, Frankoma Pottery and Cherokee artist Willard Stone (1916-1985). This sculpture in stoneware by Frankoma Pottery, in Rubbed Bisque, is called "Indian Maiden". She serenely cradles a baby rabbit and is wearing her native Indian clothing and moccasins. Stone often sculpted woodland creatures. She is standing on a pedestal and is 12.25 inches tall, 3 inches wide and 2.25 inches deep. Very small minor scuffs on her back and back of head as shown in the photos. No scratches cracks or crazing. Her glaze is similar in tone and texture to Mr. Stones many other famous sculptures that he has rendered in natural brown wood that are on display in the Gilcrease Museum in Tulsa Oklahoma, the Willard Stone Museum in Locust Grove, Oklahoma, and many other private and public displays in Oklahoma and around the United States. He has placed his signature W. Stone on the back of the pedestal. Frankoma is embossed into the clay on bottom of the figurine. Please message for any questions or requests.
